When I was fifteen, my father took his own life. I had no choice but to grow up — fast, and from the inside out.
I had to learn how to feel. How to cry. How to sit with loss without running from it. That process opened something in me that has never closed since.
From there, I immersed myself in daily meditation, Taoist and tantric practice, and the work of David Deida. None of it came easily. There were years of confusion and falling short. What defines my practice is not that it has always been graceful — but that every day, I choose it again.
I choose love over closing down. Openness over protection. I am building a life with my partner Karen, who is my mirror and greatest teacher.
That is what I bring into my work. Not perfection. But a man who has walked through real difficulty — and keeps choosing, every day, to stay open.
